Self-proclaimed the Wolves: they travel as a pack but hold their own alone
Meet the crew for 2017:
In Portland, OR:
Angel : Going to Panama for 3 weeks - "I bring to this program patience. I bring desire. I bring myself, a young woman who is determined and deserving. After my mother passed, part of my healing process has been to give back and feel worth."
Fowzia : Going to Puerto Rico for 1.5 weeks - "I am very passionate about helping people and the environment. I think this program will help me gain understanding of other people's background and is a great way to live life in another person's perspective."
Taty : Going to Panama for 3 weeks - "Throughout my volunteering experience I've noticed that rewards can come in many ways, sizes, and amounts, so you should always do the work with patience and determination."
Jenny : Going to Costa Rica for 3 weeks - "With this program I will get out of my comfort zone to a place that I do not know, with people who I have never met before, but in the end I will find out more about myself and who I am as a person."
In Denver, CO
Anayah: Going Panama for 3 weeks - "I could gain not only a better understanding of a different language and people, but also to better understand communities that are overlooked and create a plan of action to support them."
Each one of our Student Fellows brings different motivations, backgrounds, and perspectives to the program this year. However, they all share a similar goal to do their part. We are honored to take this journey with them!
Stay tuned for updates from the cohort in our Mentor Meetups!
